We offer Ph.D. program in varied research areas as far as medical physiology is concerned and the core areas include respiratory physiology, cardiovascular physiology, behavioral neuroscience and a few others as well. Our specialized and well-equipped laboratories make it convenient for students to pursue their independent research work and are offered guidance and support by our highly qualified and experienced academic staff. This program is thus intended for students, who wish to advance their studies in this relevant discipline of study. For successful completion of PhD degree in VAU, each candidate should publish minimum of Four research articles in scopus indexed journals, with VAU affiliation.
Program Aim
The primary aim of this program is to offer research training in such a way that fosters the growth of autonomous research skills in students. The students also acquire a broader perspective of Medical Physiology as well as its integral aspects. Our program of study includes lecture, research and thesis. This learning will thus help the students to plan a career as far as the medical field is concerned.

For successful completion of PhD degree in Vivekananda America University, each candidate should publish minimum of two (2) research articles in scope indexed journals and two (2) other indexed International Journals, with Vivekananda America University affiliation.

- Master of Nursing or Allied Science or related field (Level 7, MQF) as accepted by Lincoln College Senate, or

Master in Medical Ultrasound
The Master in medical ultrasound program is designed to develop professional competencies by integrating high level clinical skills, theoretical knowledge. The Masters course focuses on clinical sectional anatomy, ultrasound of abdomen and pelvic organs, echo, cardiography, clinical sonography and completes with an advanced case studies practicum. This program equipped students with intensive training in both the theoretical basis of medical ultrasound along with scanning and diagnostic skills. After completing this course student can move into administration, private industry, research, teaching or a highly specialized ultrasound technology field.
Program Aim
The aim of Master in medical ultrasound program is to develop ultrasonographers who can respond to the dynamic needs of the profession, the health service and its users. The Master in Medical Ultrasound program shall produce Sonographers who are:
• Knowledgeable and competent in performing medical ultrasound procedures.
• Efficient in multilevel communication skills and demonstrate good leadership qualities as well as having the ability to work as a team.
• Capable in problem solving through scientific skills with the great values, attitudes and professional ethics.
